On my way!

I'm sitting in Miami airport ready to board my last flight to Brazil! Leaving my parents and Nina at the airport this morning was really difficult, but I guess that's what happens when you love people. Everything has gone well so far with my last two flights; I watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Portuguese in my flight from LA to Miami. Yesterday was my "last minute packing" day, and I'm happy to say I feel materialistically prepared for this trip (we'll see about the mental part). There are a lot of things to consider when traveling to a different country, and it's my job to anticipate as many experiences as I can and to pack accordingly. Last night my family and Nina and I had a very nice sushi dinner, and now I have enough sushi to last me all the way to Iracambí hopefully, although I did end up buying a Starbucks sandwich for dinner. However, I don't know if or when I'll be able to buy food, so it's best to bring what I need for a long trip like this. We left the house at 6:45 this morning and I will arrive at my final destination tomorrow evening.

The last month in Davis has been amazing, and I'm so thankful for all the amazing Pepe I got to spend time with. Below I'll add some photos of the past few weeks.

I'll update as much as I can... Feel free to comment if you have other questions!
Let the travel begin! I know you will be prepared for most things Ronja, and when you find yourself in an unanticipated situation, your sagacity and your honesty will serve you well. I hope you find the broader world and its people wonderful! I will enjoy traveling vicariously through your posts -- thanks for including me. Adventure is yours!
